But unfortunately, the problem with rough play with dogs is, while it can be a good experience, you have to be aware of what is happening at all times and what typically happens. What I run into typically with people who play rough with their dogs is they get very involved in the game, and they only stop the game when they don't like what's happening. And what happens is a lot of times they miss out, not only on whether or not the dog is now getting past the place of being able to control their impulses, but they also sometimes play in a way, in a manner that's rough, and they start to kind of scare the dog a little bit.
