Meet Your Dog and Mini Pig Trainer

Laura's foundation in animal behavior began at Moorpark College, where she earned her degree in Exotic Animal Training and Management (EATM). This rigorous academic start led her to the Universal Studios Hollywood Animal Show, where she refined her skills in high-distraction, fast-paced environments.

Over the years, Laura has translated that expertise into a specialized practice training both dogs and mini pigs, always with an emphasis on reward-based, positive reinforcement.

A highly credentialed leader in her field, Laura is a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant (CDBC) through the IAABC, a Certified Training Partner through the Karen Pryor Academy (KPA-CTP), and earned her Certified Professional Dog Trainer certification (CCPDT) in 2010. Deeply committed to the community, she has partnered with a multitude of dog rescue organizations to provide behavioral support and rehabilitation for shelter animals.

Beyond just teaching commands, Laura’s mission is to educate owners, giving them the tools to build a deeper, more communicative relationship with their pets. A dedicated advocate for science-based training, she has also lent her voice to the industry through recorded promotional advertisements for Clicker Expo, championing modern training education for professionals and enthusiasts alike.

“Laura is amazing. We adopted a 1 year old dog from a rescue. She was found on the street and lived at an outdoor sanctuary prior to her adoption, so she had very little training or basic manners. Laura was wonderful with teaching her basic obedience, house manners and body awareness (she was very clumsy and couldn't even jump into the car). Laura gave us exercises and protocols to practice in our home to teach her these basic skills, and within a month we had the perfect dog! Laura was well worth the money and time invested, and we couldn't imagine having a dog without Laura's help.”
