Paws and Learn Hike & Raffle Fundraiser

Event: Paws and Learn Hike & Raffle Fundraiser

Date: Sat., Oct 23rd 9am-12pm (raffle at 11am)

Location: Mount Hollywood Trail in Griffith Park

Hike: $20 per person, includes 3 raffle tickets and refreshments at the top of the hike.

Raffle: $3 each or 2 for $5.  (Tickets can be purchased separately for those who can’t attend the hike.)

Details: Join us for a fun hike with amazing views of Los Angeles (with or without a 4 footed friend) and a chance at winning some great raffle prizes.  All proceeds will be used to educate the community about responsible pet care and animal welfare.  Our school program gives free presentations on a daily basis, and our goal for 2010 is to reach 14,000 people.

“I Want My Dog To Like…” – Doggie Dish

 

Sometimes we have dogs that don’t like particular things.  Whether it’s other dogs/people, riding in the car, or even playing ball.   Is it realistic of us to expect them to change those feelings or behaviors?  If so, how do we do that?  This show is about adjusting our expectations to meet the needs of our dogs.  We hope you enjoy it!!

“Attention, What It Is and Why You Want It” – Doggie Dish

 

Believe it or not, having your dog’s attention is not the same thing as getting your dog’s attention.  The former is much more important than that latter.  More often than not, if you have the first part, the second part falls into place without much work.  The other way around is much more difficult.  In today’s show we discuss why having your dog’s attention is better, and the ways to make that happen.
