Today’s “paws-cast” is about “Chasing & Prey Drive” and it’s up on the Doggie Dish site now. It’s a tragedy when a dog chases and injures or kills any small animal. Unfortunately, it’s behavior that’s usually been tolerated to some extent up until it turns deadly. Prey drive exists in all dogs, but it’s possible to inhibit the behavior patterns associated with prey drive if you 1)recognize them, and 2) understand how.
