Here’s a great article on feeding your dog a healthy diet. A healthier diet may seem more expensive at first, but when you take into account the lack of vet bills paid for illnesses caused by a bad diet, it more than evens out in the end. Our dogs are on raw food and compared to a premium kibble/canned food diet, it is much less expensive. We also get most of our food from a group here in Southern California that orders tens of thousands of pounds of raw food and distributes once a month. Since we order in such large quantities and purchase by the case, the prices are much better than if we purchased pre-made frozen raw food.
